Course Information
With its four amateur choruses - including three youth choruses - the CBSO has a wealth of experience in running non-professional ensembles.
The CBSO Youth Orchestra meets at least twice a year, in central Birmingham, for intensive non-residential week-long courses. These are usually held during school half-term weeks and conclude with a public concert in a major Midlands venue. Full rehearsals will take place at CBSO Centre, the CBSO's rehearsal and administrative home, followed by dress rehearsals and concerts at Symphony Hall, Birmingham. The CBSO Youth Orchestra Academy, for a selected chamber orchestra, takes place at CBSO Centre each summer, with a final concert at Birmingham Town Hall.

Saturday 26 October - Sunday 3 November 2013 (Full orchestra: Debussy, Messiaen, Sibelius)
Saturday 15 February - Sunday 23 February 2014 (Full orchestra: Bray, Wagner, R. Strauss)
